I see art as a language.
The painting is an extension of the artists, just as any language, through it we can express ourselves.
When I am painting I think,question and remember. All those hours in my own company I often compare to meditation and searching.
Painting is very inspiration driven, the vision wont let go, and I feel driven to follow it.

What reflects on the canvas is the breaking point of were my inner world meets the exteriour world.Sometimes its a conversation, , sometimes a wish, a vision, a dream ..sometimes its a question..if I been lucky then its an understanding I am still exploring.

I paint mainly in oils on canvas and charcoal drawings.
I produce many of my mediums and colours myself. It gives a knowledge of the tools I use to create, and makes me able to make changes in the mediums to create effects I need.
I find a great appreciation in being intimate with these things, and to me they hold a beauty of their own.
Its a mix of technical mentality and romantic idealism, as all these materials from oils, pigments to resins are all living materials, and give a different effect or possibilitiy..knowing them gives me a greater freedom.

Art is creation
Creating order out of chaos, the invisible becomes visible
The lesson to me was, it could be applied to anything in life, that we can make a concious creation, in ourselves, in our relationships, in our lifes.
Its the journey to catch the vision and then act.
I hope art tells people to wonder, to question..and more than anything to look closer..as things may not be as they seem to be ,cause that is what it has given me.
